Ma Bell  cares about my welfare

At least three times a week, and quite often twice in the same day, I receive a friendly call from someone (you can never catch their name) calling on behalf of Bell Canada.

Hello, I’m, name said really fast, calling on behalf of Bell Canada. How are you today sir?

Well, it didn’t take me long to figure out that it didn’t really matter how I was. If I told them I was happy with my current supplier, they couldn’t believe it and asked how much I was paying because they probably had a better plan.

” You should have offered me a better plan when I was your client and by the way, I am on the Do Not Call list”

Uncomfortable pause followed by “Have a good day sir”

I know they are calling back. I’m going to tell them their call is important to me and put them on hold (imaginary hold).  I know they are going to call back and say

Hello, I’m, name said really fast, calling on behalf of Bell Canada. How are you today sir?

That plain white envelope they send twice a month should be in the mail today.
