Enhance your tree knowledge and identification skills

red Maple

The tree on the right is an easy one.  Looks like a Red Maple, but that is the beginning and end of what I know about this tree.

If your knowledge of trees is similarly challenged, consider the “FREE Tree Guru training sessions” being offered by Reforest London this fall.

Here is their announcement;

Attention all aspiring tree enthusiasts!

ReForest London will be hosting our FREE Tree Guru training sessions again this September! This course is meant to instil confidence and enhance your tree knowledge and identification skills for volunteering with ReForest London. The lecture-format training sessions will be held at our office on Western Counties Road, behind Parkwood Hospital, in the Bruce Pavilion Building.

Please contact Elaine van Tol at elaine@reforestlondon.ca or 519-936-9548 x226 to register for one of the following two sessions if you are interested in learning more about the trees that make up our Forest City!
Tuesday, September 4th from 6-8pm
Monday, September 10th from 6-8pm

There will also be a hands on tree ID hike on Monday, September 17th 6-8pm for those who attended one of the training sessions this fall.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register ASAP!
